FAQs: Christianity on Campus
What’s the difference between a campus ministry and a local church?
It is true that many campus ministries strongly resemble church—worship services, the preaching of the Bible, an emphasis on personal development. But they are not the same. Campus ministries are devoted to college students to help them find community and resources specific to their stage of life. We believe this form of community is not meant to replace the local church, that the promises and commands of Jesus were given to a universal body of believers.
What do I do if I want to start going to church, but don’t know where to look?
Below are the links to some churches in the area, most of which are atteneded by at least one member of Terrain who would be happy to welcome you. If you would rather have a conversation about it, please feel free to reach out to our staff. We can connect you with someone who can help answer questions or talk through concerns.
